Yes! I believe in this. Whatever struggle or blessing I encounter in life, there is always a lesson, a reason behind it. A lesson that would change me for the better, the better person that He wants me to be.
Good Tuesday Morning!
Today is my 3rd morning of waking up earlier, between 4-5:30am. At least before 6-7am, my usual wake-up time. If you have been a follower of this blog or my other blogs (you’ve probably lost count hee hee
), you know that being a morning person is something that I have been trying to achieve since we moved here. More so, when I became a stay-at-home mom and was juggling various homemaker chores with my graduate school degree. There is something about the stillness and serenity of the moment before Sunrise that makes my quiet time with myself, and God extra special. I usually start my morning with my daily morning devotional prayers and a lukewarm water with freshly squeezed lemon. Then, I prepare a sumptuous breakfast for my boys, this got to be the biggest meal of our day. TGL is a huge coffee and egg-lover while I make sure that MLS has his stomach full just in case he does not feel like eating their cafeteria food or his packed-lunch. But of course, when I started working, that became a lot more challenging.
I realized that if I want to continue this habit, I need to change 2 things: My Sleeping Pattern and My Diet. I’ve heard somewhere that our peak hours depend on our blood types:
Type 0: 6am-12pm
Type A: 12pm-6pm
Type AB: 6pm-12midnight
Type B: 12midnight-6am
TGL and I are both Type AB and this chart is no surprise as we are always on the go around 6pm-12midnight. But then, if I keep doing this for straight 21 days, I might be able to beat this scientific study and be a morning person instead. So what have I been doing for the past 3 days that waking up 4-5:30 am seems like a breeze? I sleep at 11pm or at least start my downtime by 10pm, no TV just iPhone. I also do not take carbs or junkfood at night because I noticed that when I eat carbs and junkfood, I become sluggish the next morning.
I wish to keep doing this especially since I have been trying to aim to be the best version of my Proverbs 31 woman.
“She’s up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day.” – Proverbs 31:15
